The Heart of Life

The beauty is undeniable
Heartbreakingly, awe-strikingly undeniable
But the pain is still there.

The peace is ever-present
Whisperingly, overwhelmingly present
But the grief is still there.

The love is oh-so-strong
Soul-deep, bone-quenchingly strong
But the sadness is still there.

You are still who You say You are
Never-changing, never altering a promise
But the uncertainty can be blinding.

Because I am who I have always been
Desperately needy, desperately lost without You
And only truth can calm my soul:

I am Your daughter, wherever I am
When full of doubts
When full of faith
When full of sorrow
When full of joy.

Whatever the struggle
Whatever the circumstance.
You always call me Your daughter.

And I know my Father.

Somehow, someway, it will be all right in the end.
