Here is what I know to be true:
“I believe in God the Father Almighty, Maker of heaven and earth. And in Jesus Christ, His only Son, our Lord.” -The Apostles’ Creed
My life is spent sorting out what that being a Christian looks like in the here and now. I write most often about relationship goals, what marriage looks like, how my walk with God fleshes out in real life, and what I’m learning from my latest devotional or fictional read.
That makes most of my writing, except my “Dear [Insert Subject]” series, quite serious.
But in real life, I laugh quite a lot. Especially when looking at adorable animals or after hearing a joke from my husband.
Writing is a tempestuous master, so I make few promises. I won’t always be serious. I won’t always be right on the mark. I won’t be perfect.
But I’ll be here in all of my messy, redeemed-by-Christ glory. That’s enough.
